During the month of November, the public celebrates the achievements of transplant physicians and those who perform transplant research. During this time, people who donate their stem cells and bone marrow to help give others a second chance at life are honored. This month is used as a time to generate awareness of the network of donor centers around the the nation, and encourage more people to donate.
Although the topic of cancer is seldom one people want to bring up, awareness efforts can help shed light on common and rare forms of the disease, pave the way for research and intervention, and galvanize support efforts in communities. A cancer information section produced with the help of the Editorial Library can be a springboard for community effort and simultaneously drive ad sales for respective doctors, health clinics, pharmacies, and other health-related businesses.
