March is Red Cross Month, a time to remind everyone of the work of the Red Cross organization does in communities across the country and around the globe – and how they depend on public support to help people in need. The Red Cross may provide medical care, food, shelter, and other services to communities until they get back on their feet after a disaster or medical pandemic. The Red Cross also is often instrumental in organizing blood collection drives.
