Dementia is a blanket term that describes neurological changes in the brain that may result in behavior changes, loss of memory, trouble with speech, and difficulties with other neurological functions. One of the most well known forms of dementia is Alzehimer's Disease, but vascular dementia and Dementia with Lewy Bodies are other types.
People who devote their lives to caring for dementia patients, as well as looking for new cures and treatment options are essential to the medical community.
