World AIDS Day aims to increase public awareness of HIV and AIDS and commemorates those who have died of AIDS. It is also a time of year for people to voluntarily become tested for HIV and AIDS. There are many new treatments that can help individuals live longer, healthier lives even with a diagnosis.
