The purpose of World Kidney Day is to raise awareness about the importance of the kidneys — organs that play a crucial role in keeping individuals alive and well. Kidneys filter the blood and the urine from toxins and without them working correctly, one can't maintain optimal health. World Kidney day is also designed to spread the message that kidney disease is common, harmful and treatable.
