A praline is a type of sugary, nutty candy. When people in the U.S. say "praline," they are usually referring to the creamy, fudgy, pecan-heavy confection popular in the American South. But pralines vary depending upon region. They are usually made from almonds, pecans or hazelnuts coated in sugar. National Pralines Day gives people the opportunity to indulge in a sweet treat.
