Carole Copeland Thomas' world changed in 1997 when her 17 year old son was tragically killed in a single occupant car crash. Six days after graduating from Milton High School on June 14, 1997. It's the reason why she started Student Safety Month in 1998.
This month can be a meaningful opportunity for promoting student safety within an organization or community. Suggested activities can be launched during the summer months or throughout the rest of the year.
