Over 80% of households have a clothes dryer drawing huge amounts of energy to operate. If every household participated for even one day hanging their clothes to dry it would save a huge amount of energy as well as a considerable amount of money. This would also translate into fewer pollutants and health consequences associated with coal-driven electricity or other fuel sources. On National Clothesline Week, people are urged to save some energy and let their clothing air dry.
