For more than 35 years Drinking Water Week has presented an opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together in recognizing the vital role water plays in the public's daily lives. Highlights of the week can include a focus on the health implications of dirty water; how to preserve and protect water resources; as well as how communities come by the water that supplies their areas.
Use this event as a springboard for green living ideas and to highlight community water conservation efforts. It's also a good idea to reach out to water suppliers who may not be frequent advertisers, but can benefit from sharing water-supply information or promotions during this week.
