Figs are one of the healthiest foods a person can eat. This fruit is high in fiber and potassium while low in sugar and calories. Depending upon where one lives figs come into season twice per year — early summer and late fall. That means there's twice the opportunity to enjoy figs. Figs are deserving of celebration during National Fig Week, which arrives the first week of November.
