September is national Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, 13,500 children (ages 0-19) are diagnosed with a form of pediatric cancer in the U.S. There are many ways a person can get involved this September to spread awareness on childhood cancer.
Although the topic of cancer is seldom one people want to bring up, awareness efforts can help shed light on common and rare forms of the disease, pave the way for research and intervention, and galvanize support efforts in communities.
