Clean Air Act Passed by Congress: Anniversary, 1967

December 17th, 2021

Web site: http://www2.epa.gov/clean-air-act-overview

The Clean Air Act is a sweeping set of laws passed to protect the nation from air pollution. This was the first legislation to place pollution controls on the automobile industry. Actions to implement the Clean Air Act have achieved dramatic reductions in air pollution, preventing hundreds of thousands of cases of serious health effects each year.

Going green involves many different steps, including reducing air pollution. Promote the Clean Air Act as a way to foster environmental stewardship.
