Each year on July 31st and December 2nd, National Mutt Day is celebrated across the United States. This day was created as a day to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs. Very often mutts have fewer inherent health conditions than pure breeds, but provide equally as much love and affection. National Mutt Day also can raise awareness about shelter pets, and the benefits of animal adoption.
