US Surgeon General Declares Cigarettes Hazardous: Anniversary, 1964

January 16th, 2022 US Surgeon General Luther Terry issued the first government report saying that smoking cigarettes may be hazardous to one's health. Smoking continues to be the culprit in cardiovascular diseases, as well as conditions that affect the lungs.
